Season 5 Ep. 1: "Stewie Loves Lois" References



  • Robin Boy Wonder appears on the Quahog News, trying to save 4 girls going over the cliff. Unfortunately they do not appreciate his efforts, claiming he doesn't have any superpowers.

  • Peter references "Frampton comes Alive" after being called a monster claiming that album is a monster.

  • Peter attends college. After he passes a test, he runs outside as Kenny Loggins' "I'm Free" plays in the background. (This Loggins song is featured in the movie Footlose). Once outside, Peter jumps in the air while pumping his fist like in the final scene from The Breakfast Club.


  • While switching channels on the TV, Peter and Brian come across Tom Green's movie Freddie Got Fingered, E.T., and a commercial for the Yellow Pages.


  • When Stewie is showing off his moves, he threatens Lois & asks whether she wants some of this Maury Po'bitch, referencing the talk show host.


  • Stewie is eating a ScoobyDoo yogurt.


  • Stewie claims Brian loves Olympia Dukakis, which he admits.


  • Chris knows there's an Orange Julius in the mall.


  • Stewie compares Lois to a female Bonnie Hunt.


  • Stewie fell asleep watching Sabado Gigante which is featured in a snippet.


  • Quahog News interrupts a Native American version of "What's Happening".

  • Lois thinks she's just like Barbara Bush, who gave her son brain damage.


  • Stewie won some Eddie Money tickets on the radio.


  • Brian compares Stewie to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Sulu.


  • Peter goes to see Enterprise's Dr. Coy about his prostate. Mr. Sulu shows up again while Peter has his pants around his ankles.


  • Stewie uses a machine gun the way Tony Montana uses it in Scarface.


  • Seamus carries with him, among other things, a map of Middle Earth and a band picture of Primus.


  • Stewie mentions Tommy Lee's Pool Party at which one of his son's party guests drowned.


  • Michael Jackson's child molestation trial is spoofed by Stewie testifying against him.


  • Dr. Hartman finds Mr. Sulu (third appearance in the episode) in Peter's behind.


  • The end credits are in direct reference to the closing credits of the 70's show "All in the Family."
