Season 8 Ep.2: "Family Goy" References

  • This episode has a Hall of Justice - Superfriends intro in which Peter is Superman, Lois is Wonderwoman, Brian is Batman, Stewie is Robin, and Chris is Aquaman.
  • Quagmire brings a Sports Illustrated swim suit special to the bar.
  • Joe talks about the Tonya Harding honeymoon video and finds it gross.

Season 7 Ep.9: "The Juice is Loose" References

  • Before the intro a slide let's you know that this episode was "recently discovered" just like the disclaimer in the Blair Witch Project.
  • Peter reads Teen Beat with a Jonas Bothers cover while baby sitting.
  • Stewie is watching Robert Mitchum in "out of shape in shape guy of the 50's."
  • Stewie tells Brian about working with Jack Black and how he hates Robin Williams. Brian asks him what it was like to perform the words of Diablo Cody.
  • Michael J Fox wants to tell Stewie about his future while stuck on a roof during a thunderstorm, a scene reminiscent of Fox's Back to the Future trilogy.

  • Brian tells Stewie to get his blueprints for the Star Trek transporter signed by William Shatner. He wants them signed by Patrick Stewart.

Season 7 Ep.4: "Baby Not On Board" References

  • Peter is talking to Dr. Emmet Brown from the movie Back to the Future. He then gets on a skate board and skates around town to the song "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis.
  • Peter's back is getting a massage by Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore from the movie Ghost.
  • While being massaged, Cleveland is listening to Marvin Gaye.
  • Peter and the guys discuss who to have sex with if they were gay. The choices are John Forsythe and Sean Connery, who is in the sauna with them.
  • Chris and his manager at the mini mart discuss a plot hole in Lord of the Rings.
  • The manager warns Chris about the 1983 movie Krull.
  • We learn that Brian drives a Prius.
  • Stewie claims that Peter is more useless than Aquaman, who is shown trying to save a girl on the beach.
  • Peter bought a Space Shuttle.
  • Meg wants to go the island of "Lost", but Stewie does not want to listen to the heavy breathing of Matthew Fox.
  • Stewie listens to Persian radio, which just finished Roxette's song "You got the Look."
  • Stewie thinks his house is more deserted than James Gandolfini's workout room.

  • When giving his "I'm an easy target" speech at the train station, Peter quotes John Candy's character from the movie Planes, Trains & Automobiles.

  • While his parents were gone, Stewie turned off the V-Chip.

Season 7 Ep.3: "Road to Germany" References

  • Some of the stills in beginning are recreations of famous World War 2 photos.
  • The Griffins hold an Oscar watching party.
  • During the Oscars, Scarlett Johansson and Steve Buscemi are presenting the awards for best art direction.
  • One of Steve Buscemi's teeth decides to go to an Elton John party.
  • Chris wants to drink Mr. Goldman's Ensure drink, and Peter lists the advantages of Ensure in the style of its commercial.
  • Stewie asks Rick Moranis and the Little Shop of Horrors backup singers what happened to Mort.
  • Stewie claims Rene Russo was born September the 1st 1939, even though she was born on February the 17th 1954.
  • During the escape scene, Stewie gets on a makeshift skateboard and skates to the Back to the Future theme. Later this episode we can also hear the Indiana Jones theme.
  • While on the radar, the bleeps play Terence Trent D'Arby's "Wishing Well" song.
  • On a newspaper we can see Hitler shaking hand with Mickey Mouse.
  • Stewie sees Winston Churchill in wartime London.
  • On a warplane Stewie refers to Brian as Goose, a Top Gun reference.
  • Berlin's welcome sign calls it "The Happiest Place on Earth", just like Disneyland.
  • One of the Nazi's wearing a McCain, Palin support button.
  • The German scientists developed a collection of 100 hundred red balloons. After one of them pops, it resembles Nena's hit "99 Luftballons."
  • Mean Joe Green hands Stewie some uranium.

Season 7 Ep.2: "I Dream of Jesus" References

  • The title "I Dream of Jesus" obviously alludes to the TV show "I Dream of Jeannie"
  • At the 50s style diner all of the wait staff look like icons of that decade. There's Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, and James Dean, the latter of whom is a mangled "after the accident" version.
  • Peter listens to the 1963 Trashmen hit "Surfin' Bird" excessively.
  • Star Jones' flabby arms are shown after the weight surgery.
  • Lois has an Allen Sherman record that just "walked away."
  • When Brian and Stewie destroy Peter's "Surfin' Bird" record, they do it Office Space style with baseball bats & rap music playing in the background. The scene is identical to one in the movie Office Space in which a printer is treated the same way the record is treated.
  • During Peter's visit at the record store, we can see an ABBA record in the background and a Pink Floyd poster on the wall.
  • Peter tries to pee on some of Amy Grant's CDs.
  • Marley Matlin is shown trying to use a voice recognition movie information service. She wants to see the movie The Last Mimzy, but the system tells her she wants to see 300.
  • Peter mentions the time he, Cleveland & Joe went to see Chronicles of Riddick.
  • When Jesus turns dinner into icecream, he does it to the sound effect that is used in the show "Bewitched" whenever Samantha performs magic.
  • George Bush gets to meet Jesus.
  • A couple in bed gets distracted by John Aston.
  • Jesus wants Peter to get him a "Cracked" magazine, which Peter finds hard to believe.
  • Jesus gets to be on the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno. That night's show also features David Coulier of "Full House" and Joss Stone.
  • Jesus enters the "Tonight Show" set to a jazz instrumental version of "O Little Town of Bethlehem."
  • On Leno's show, Jesus says he plays a lot of Call of Duty 4 (a video game) and eats PinkBerry (an often-mentioned favorite treat of celebrities). He also claims to have revived River Phoenix, who ultimately overdosed again at the Viper Room.
  • The "New York Post" says "Jesus is bigger than Jesus," which is an allusion to this quote made famous by John Lennon: " The Beatles are bigger than Jesus."
  • Dane Cook introduces Jesus at the MTV Music Video Awards.
  • Jesus walks on stage with the Pussycat Dolls at the aforementioned video award show.
  • At a party, we overhear that Lindsay Lohan is taking off her top.

Season 7 Ep.1: "Love Blactually" References

  • The title itself is a spoof of the movie Love Actually.
  • During a costume party, Peter is dressed up as Laura Bush, Lois is the guy who was killed by Laura Bush in a wreck, both Brian and Stewie are Snoopy, Quagmire is Napoleon Dynamite (and is wearing a "Vote for Pedro" shirt), and Cleveland is Charlie Chaplin. Quagmire thinks Joe is dressed up as FDR, Peter mistakes him for Stephen Hawking at the beach and Quagmire calls him crippled Magnum P.I. Actually, Joe is dressed down as Olympic swimmer Mark Spitz.
  • As Snoopy, Brian does the Snoopy dance.
  • At the costume party, Brian is introduced to a woman, that he thinks is dressed like a Freddy Kruger victim.
  • Peter punches Brian in the stomach thinking he can't feel it. Brian reminds him that it's Houdini who can't feel punches in the stomach.
  • While being Snoopy, Brian is followed through the house by Woodchuck (also a character from "Peanuts").
  • While in the bookstore, we can see a book with Darth Vader on the cover in the background.
  • Stewie picks up a book in which Horton hears domestic violence (a spoof of Dr. Suess' "Horton Hears a Who").
  • Brian picks up a book of Richard Dawkins, a popular British ethologist, evolutionary biologist and science writer.
  • Brian notices while watching a movie that it had to be a "touching" film since Robin Williams was wearing a beard.
  • While Cleveland is having sex with Carolyn, he exclaims "Boom goes the dynamite." This quote is taken directly from a viral YouTube video in which a Ball State student sportscaster says the same phrase during a score at a basketball match.
  • Peter thinks Cleveland's former wife is called Jennifer Hudson, Weezie, or Florida (the latter two names of which are from "The Jeffersons" even though Florida refers to Florence).
  • When Brian is lying, his snout gets long just like Pinocchio's nose.
  • In a flashback, Cyrano de Bergerac is exposed as being anti-semitic.
  • Quagmire shows off his privates by saying Apache Penis EE-NAY-CHUCK, spoofing Apache Chief of the "Super Friends."
  • A naked Quagmire alludes to the famous 1837 fairy tale The Emperor's New Clothes.
